(8) No agreement under this Division shall replace the applicable provisions respecting the authorization of hospitalization for orders for hospital drugs, in accordance with the protocols or permanent contracts for the purpose of hospitalization or emergency in a hospital within the meaning of section 197.020, if those protocols or permanent contracts have been approved by the medical staff and the Therapeutic Drugs Committee of the hospital. 4) Eliminates the wording that says a patient should only see where the doctor sees „routine“ patients. (3) An intern shall receive from the national body for the admission of healing faculties a certificate of mandatory prescription for controlled substances after proof of the authorization provided for in section 334.036. OBJECTIVE: This rule defines the terms used in this chapter as applicable to medical assistants, sets out the requirements applicable to supervision agreements and the practice of a medical assistant in accordance with a supervision agreement in accordance with clause 334.735, RSMo, and the participation of medical assistants in the Improved Access to Treatment for Opoid Addictions Act (IATOA) in accordance with section 630.875. RSMo. „An intern must clearly identify himself as an intern and may use the terms `doctor`, `Doctor or doctor`. 12. An intern holding a certificate of regulatory authority under this Division may prescribe any controlled substance set out in Schedule III, IV or V to section 195.017 and have limited powers in Schedule II if he or she is responsible for prescribing controlled substances in a common practice agreement. Prescriptions for Schedule II drugs, prescribed by an intern who has a mandatory certificate of authority for controlled substances, are limited only to drugs containing hydrocodone. This power must be submitted to the National Office for the Registration of Healing Arts. The cooperating physician reserves the right to limit a specific drug or a category of drugs that the intern may prescribe.
Any restrictions are provided for in the Agreement on Common Practice. Interns should not prescribe controlled substances to themselves or their family members. .
